Book Review: The Hands We’re Given (Aces High, Jokers Wild Book 1)

The Hands We're Given (Aces High, Jokers Wild #1)The Hands We’re Given by O.E. Tearmann
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Exceptionally well-told adventure story that manages to highlight all members of a large, complicated cast, each in their own way. I learned so much while enjoying the story – about technology, about planning complex missions, about what it takes to be a leader (and a follower), and perhaps the most important lesson of all, the gaining of insight into what life can be like for people who are not myself. If you have a glimmer of empathy in you, it will be nurtured, fed and will grow as you get to know the Wildcards.
