Relay For Life – Team New Babbage

As if I didn’t have enough reasons to be proud of my virtual hometown, there’s one more: Team Page: New Babbage RFL

And I’ve joined the cause with my Babbage neighbors.

My Reasons to Relay

I relay because my Real-Life-Typist’s next door neighbor, a good friend for a dozen years, is fighting lung cancer. She’s never smoked, and has always lived a healthy, outdoorsy life. She does not deserve this.

I relay because in 2005 I lost one of my best friends, a truly righteous broad, to colon cancer at age 33. I relay for Kielle (Kelly) because she did not deserve that.

I relay for the dozens of co-workers at my university who have been lost to cancer. None of them deserved it.

I’ve decided to take action a stand and fight back against cancer by participating in the American Cancer Society Relay For Life® event right here in my community.

Please support me in this important cause by making a secure, tax-deductible donation online using the link below.

Relay For Life® is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people worldwide to:

* CELEBRATE the lives of those who have battled cancer. The strength of survivors inspires others to continue to fight.

* REMEMBER loved ones lost to the disease. At Relay, people who have walked alongside people battling cancer can grieve and find healing.

* FIGHT BACK. We Relay because we have been touched by cancer and desperately want to put an end to the disease.

Whatever you can give will help – it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.

Lori Alden Holuta lives between the cornfields of Mid-Michigan, where she grows vegetables and herbs when she’s not writing, editing, or playing games with a cat named Chives.
