Seattle Stories: The Brasserie Pittsbourg

In March of 1976, My dad and future stepmom came up from Pasadena California for a visit. I was delighted by the chance to show off ‘my’ Seattle to them. We went up the Space Needle, of course, walked the waterfront, said hello to Sylvester the mummy at the Old Curiosity Shoppe, did the underground tour, kept clam at Ivar’s, and enjoyed a meal at Brassiere Pittsbourgh in the Pioneer Building. Best day ever. Sadly, the restaurant no longer exists, but the Pioneer Building still stands. Incidentally, this is a good article to learn about the history of the Pioneer Building. https://www.historylink.org/file/8912

My Dad Lee and my now-stepmom Carol. Big smiles!
